screen-capIn this adventure, Cindy joins the incredible community at African Club Dances NYC and will explore the spirituality and energy of African dance.  Ekwa Msangi and Sacha Saint-Cyr show Cindy how to dance the Chakatcha. A dance from the coastal area of Tanzania.  This dance is one that is taught as a young age. It is communal, and it develops strength and muscle training. They taught Cindy that this dance enhances all parts of us – emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, sexual.

African Club Dances is an organisation that supports and fosters community empowerment, educational learning, and sharing by offering their members unique opportunities to learn contemporary dances that spawn from African roots. Based in New York City, they bestow their community with the ability to express themselves through the languages of dance by engaging them in African culture and healthy lifelong practices. They provide workshops and classes, and alert the community of commonly themed activities in New York City and beyond.
